Wedding Gift (Front/Back), acrylic 2008.
In my mailbox I found a thank you note from some newly weds thanking me for some gift and for attending their wedding. Also enclosed in the envelop was a fairly intimate photograph. Unfortunately, this thank you letter was never going to reach the appropriate destination. So in lieu of just tossing the letter and shrugging the whole situation off, I decided to send my own thank you letter, thanking these people for thanking me by accident. So I painted the enclosed picture using the envelop and letter as a canvas. I hope they liked it.
